MSc Human Resources with Employment Law
Whether you’re already an established HR professional, just starting out in the sector or changing career, our business Master’s course in Human Resources with Employment Law will prepare you to develop your career as an HRM leader, manager, general manager, or an HR business specialist.
Through this course you will develop an advanced understanding of human resource management across a variety of organisational settings, taking into account how national and international contexts impact upon people management. You will develop your professional skills, including mediation and will also have opportunities to work with professional bodies and employers.
This course is accredited by the CMI (Chartered Management Institute) so upon successful completion of the course, you will have the option to apply for a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership as well as your degree.
Your learning experience is important to us, and that’s why this course is taught by experienced business professionals in workshop-style classes to ensure you can benefit from greater interaction with your lecturers. We emphasise practical based learning and relevant real-life application, and you will apply theoretical concepts and models to real life business case studies.
Should you be unable to complete the full corporate governance and ethics programme, you may still be awarded a Diploma or Certificate depending on terms completed.

Dr Hossein Shokri has worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, module leader and content developer in business management at several UK universities. Before he commenced teaching in 2012, he worked in business operations within telecommunication and IT.

Course Information
To get a full picture of how studying this course works during the year, take a look at our course date breakdown.
You will be assessed formally through a mix of individual assignments, group work and Dissertation/Project work.
Students will study for one year full-time or two years part-time, divided into three semesters of 13 weeks. Typically, full-time students will study 4 modules per semester and part-time students will study 2 modules per semester.
Students will also work on a CPD-accredited Professional Development Module throughout all 3 semesters.
